Q: Do I need an appointment to get an auto body collision estimate?
A: No! Come by when we are open (current temporary hours are Monday -Friday 8a-4p). The entire process takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Q: Is there a charge for getting an estimate?
A: Absolutely not! You’ve got to love anything FREE!
Q: When can I have my vehicle repaired?
A: Depending on the current work in our shop and the availability of the parts needed for your car, work can begin as early as the day the claim is filed.
Q: How do I get a rental car?
A: If you have rental insurance WE take care of that headache for you. We contact HERTZ to arrange your rental and they are super-fast about meeting you here and super-prompt when you have pre-arranged to drop off your car. The best part is that the paperwork is done right here. There are no extra stops which saves you time and aggravation. It helps simplify the process! We also work with Enterprise and they will come pick you up here and bring you to their office to sign their paperwork.
Q: What if I don’t have rental insurance?
A: Our relationship with Hertz and Enterprise will help you get the lowest price available for a rental car.
Q: Do I need more than one estimate?
A: No. No. No. Did we already say No? This is NOT required by state law.
Q: What if one estimate is more than another? Should I go with the lowest one?
A: There is a BIG difference between shops. Any shop can give a lower price by leaving something out or by overlooking parts. Acme has never played this game. Our loyal customers can attest to that fact! We have two highly-experienced, managers who prepare your estimates with a complete understanding of the work involved and Acme assures you that we will do a proper job at a fair price.
Q: What if my insurance company tells me I have to have my car repaired at a certain shop? Do I have to go where my insurance company tells me to go to get my car repaired?
A: You have the right to choose the repair shop of your choice. Period! Maine Law states it is YOUR choice. We work with ALL INSURANCES.
Q: Do I get a warranty with my car repair?
A: YES! We offer a warranty on our work for as long as you own your car.
