Meet the ACME Body Shop Collision Repair Team
Shop Manager. Jim has 41+ years of combined experience in both the auto body trade and the insurance appraisal business. He brings a professional view to our collision repair business, which has helped our behind the scenes operations. Having worked on the insurance side for so many years, he is well respected by insurance companies and appraisers and really speaks from a place of knowledge as he helps you navigate your insurance claim. You should expect professional and accurate collision estimates, and a level of customer care that helps make the process as easy as possible. Jim’s job is to make sure you are a satisfied customer! Jim is a family guy with 3 grown sons and grandchildren. He enjoys his man cave and neighbor gatherings, working on cars and his yard, snowmobiling in the winter and judging welding at the annual gathering of high school tech programs.
Shop Manager since 2000. Dave also has 51+ years experience in the auto collision industry. Customers love how our managers work together and know all of the jobs in process. Dave is one of the friendly faces you will meet at ACME’s front counter. He will estimate your repair and refinish damage and walk you through every step of the process. His wealth of knowledge about collision repair puts you in good hands. Dave now works part time and heads south to the beautiful Alabama coast in the winter. His hobby is definitely cars! He oversees used car sales at Acme Body Shop and loves to restore antique cars at home and with his son.
Assistant Manager. It’s hard to believe Amy started at Acme in 2009 after bringing her car in with accident damage! Amy has learned the business from the ground up and has worked her way into the Assistant Manager role. She will write up an estimate for you, ordering parts and supplies, arranging car rental, and make sure that your experience at Acme is as hassle-free as possible. Customers always comment how comfortable Amy made them feel and how she really took care of them from start to finish. Amy is a Mom of 3! Beaches are one of her favorite great escapes!
Charlie comes to Acme with many years of experience in a variety of collision repair shops. He has had Goodwrench training and is talented in collision repair and painting. He is one of the few people who loves rust! We may start calling him the King of Rust Repair! Raising his family in South Portland, you are getting double the return on your BUY LOCAL effort when you bring your work to Acme and Charlie does the repair! One of Charlie’s favorite hobbies is fishing with his boys and his vacations are usually dedicated to just that!
