A: Acme Body Shop offers a quick, no-appointment-needed estimate anytime from 9am-4pm. The process will take about 10-15 minutes and we will follow up by emailing you the estimate, usually the same day, or you can stop back by to pick up a hard copy.
A: Yes, call or click here to be redirected to our mechanical booking tool.
A: For collision estimates the fee is $20 - which will be applied toward the repair. You can skip any charge by bringing in or emailing any insurance estimate to us and we will schedule the repair.
For mechanical estimates the fee ranges from $50-175 depending on the level of diagnostics needed.
A: No. No. No. Did we already say No? This is NOT required by state law.
We work with all insurance companies.
Only one estimate is required by law.
It’s your legal right to choose the shop for your repairs.

A: There is a BIG difference between shops. Any shop can give a lower price by leaving something out or by overlooking parts. Acme's reputation is for fair and honest estimates. Our loyal customers can attest to that fact! We have a highly-experienced manager who prepares your estimates with a complete understanding of the work involved and Acme assures you that we will do a proper job at a fair price.
A: Scheduling depends on the current work in our shop and the availability of the parts needed for your car. We work to get you in and get the repairs started as soon as possible. If your car is not drivable, call us and we can help coordinate getting the car to our shop right away. While repairs may not begin immediately, we will start planning your vehicle into our schedule.
A: We can help take care of that headache for you. Let us know if you have rental insurance and your coverage, or if you will be self-pay. Even self-pay customers receive a preferred rate than the retail price. We make the Enterprise rental reservation for you. They will come pick you up at Acme at the arranged time and bring you to their office to sign their paperwork. Conveniently, you may return the rental to Acme when picking up your vehicle.
A: Our relationship with Enterprise will help you get the lowest price available for a rental car.
A: Yes!!! We work with ALL insurance companies.
Acme works from the insurance approved estimate, even if we have written an estimate that is not the same. We work directly with the insurance company to resolve any additional damages found and submit a supplement for them - this is a typical scenario.

A: You have the right to choose the repair shop of your choice. Period! Maine Law states it is YOUR choice. Some insurance companies may tell you they have a "preferred list" of body shops, but that is because it is more cost effective for them to have you go to their "preferred list".
A: YES! We offer a warranty on our work for as long as you own your car.
A: Fluid film is a powerful rust and corrosion protection product. It's a unique wool-grease (lanolin) formula that is sprayed under your vehicle to help protect the metal. It provides a lasting, protective barrier from moisture, salts, calcium, sodium and magnesium chlorides.
